Zsolt Prieger, fronman of the 30-year-old Anima Sound System and author of countless literary programs and Corvin books, along with his co-stars, Mihály Balázsovics (Slow Village) and Gábor Subicz (Subtones, MAO) dreamed up this surreal musical-literary show based on the fact that Mihály Csokonai was not merely some historical figure but someone who is definitely part of the present. He’s the great, streamlined new wave rapper of Debrecen. Prieger’s co-composers, Mihály Balázsovics (MC Tink) and Debrecen-based jazz trumpeter, Gábor Subicz believes in this as well, that’s why they decided to create a work of art together that is atmospheric, choreographic, philosophic and thought-provoking while also being atmospheric at the same time. As written by the other great poet of Debrecen, János Térey: „The works of Csokonai are like a dense forest full of rustling foliage and surprises, similar only to Weöres or Arany perhaps. His world of teasing lovers and sunlit gardens is second only to Mozart – also deceased at the top of his career.”
