A few years ago, Laura Arend wanted to offer an ode to femininity, to the freedom to be, to love, to live and to fulfill herself as a woman out of love and fascination for the moving woman’s body. Laura dances her respect for women who take control of their destinies, live their dreams and release their true essence. With ANNA, Laura develops, in duet, a passionate dance around five exceptional female destinies of the 19th and 20th centuries. How does the determination of these women influence or frustrate us today and what lessons can we learn? To what extent can we use their experiences to hope for a bright future?
